Dan here, I built my own trk camper last year, took me 8 months built it from the Glen-L plans. 1x2framing and it worked fine. it is flimsy at first putting up the side walls and such but once you glue and screw it all together it is solid. Google, Homebuilt truck campers, I am the 2nd & 3rd one down, got plenty of construction photos and costs, good luck, i will be watching ur blog...
